You plan for launch days. You don’t plan for server overload. 😬
We announced on social media that the meetup registrations were open - and right at that moment, the WhatsApp chatbot servers got overloaded.
The chatbot wasn’t responding, so I had to jump in manually, handling every single inquiry - switching between my desk and my phone (because our secondary WhatsApp was accessible through mobile). It was almost an hour of non-stop back-and-forth.
Thankfully, the chatbot provider’s team jumped in fast and got things back to normal, and I was able to transition the remaining inquiries back to automation.
Some days are smooth. Some days test your patience and focus. This was definitely the second kind - but we moved forward anyway.
