What I thought would be a quick workshop… turned into another great learning curve.

I had the chance to run a session on building an online store using store.link at the Kerala Innovation Festival, hosted by Kerala Startup Mission. If you haven’t tried store.link yet, it’s surprisingly slick - and the founders, Aslam Abbas and Shyjal R., were right there with us, answering questions live. That made the whole thing feel super real and interactive.

Here’s the kicker: The feedback blew me away. People were genuinely impressed. Even Hassan Rawther is already integrating store.link into a course at his Unlearn Academy. That was a cool validation of the tool’s impact.

A quick flashback - this was my second time doing this workshop. The first was at ScaleUp Conclave with around 80 participants. I probably did most of the talking, but I couldn’t have done it without my team from The eCom Show holding down the fort.

Lessons learned this round:

  • Having founders interact live? Game-changer.
  • Tool clarity + enthusiasm = participants ready to experiment ASAP.
  • Team support behind the scenes = my sanity intact. 😅

If you’re thinking of running workshops or demos, having a team and connecting founders directly with users is gold. Also, don’t underestimate the power of simple tools that solve big problems quickly.

Tiny win, but it made my day - and hopefully your day too if you’re building something new. Keep pushing!
