Raw podcast files, uncompressed videos, reel cuts, thumbnails⊠it all adds up fast. So now, we archive all our older podcast files to Amazon S3. And yes - this was finally my moment to put that AWS Cloud Practitioner certificate to use đ
Itâs not a full switch, but it keeps our local storage clean while giving us:
- Scalable backup
- Lifecycle rules for organization
- Easy retrieval when needed
Also hereâs a tip: Amazon sometimes gives credits based on your profile. We got $300 in AWS credits for 6 months just for signing up and verifying our use case. So keep an eye out for that.
If youâre creating content regularly, S3 is a great way to declutter without deleting.
