I organized a Qatar meetup while living in Kerala, and nobody noticed the distance.
Most of the planning happened through rapid WhatsApp messages. Updates, changes, confirmations - everything moved in real time.
Whenever things got tight, we switched to short Google Meet calls just to keep alignment steady.
There were last-minute adjustments. New guest additions. And I wasn’t even in the same country while all of it was unfolding.
Shan and Anshad handled the onsite execution in Doha, and I coordinated the flow from Kerala.
2 locations, 1 continuous thread of communication.
In the end, nearly 60 people joined the meetup without feeling any of the behind-the-scenes friction.
With the right rhythm, remote and onsite teams can operate as a single unit
